While you could use Quill Pilot for creative non-fiction, we don't recommend it for non-fiction work. The application does not have the ability to search the internet or verify factual accuracy, which is essential for non-fiction writing. Quill Pilot is designed specifically for fiction where imagination and storytelling take priority over factual research.
Quill Pilot AI is currently designed to run any models available through OpenRouter, giving you access to a wide variety of AI models for your creative writing needs. We're also actively working on adding support for Ollama and LM Studio, which will allow you to run models locally on your own hardware.

At this point there are no concerns over storage space, but things can change over time. We've provided the ability to run personal backups that you can keep safe on your own devices.
